The idea of the company originated with a melomaniac and audiophile, amateur musician and graphic designer, a New-Yorker, Saul Bernard Marantz. He couldn’t agree to the poor sound quality offered by stereo systems of the time. He also realized that the main problem of many albums was caused by recording instability of frequency response. He made a revolutionary turn by building a first preamplifier.

More than 50 years later, Marantz is still expanding the sensory horizons of even the most demanding consumers. Amplifiers, playback equipment, rеcievers, tuners, and many other HiFi components – now all this abundance is available for aficionados in Estonia, too!
